                                           Blooming Geode

I have been working on this piece to showcase the beauty of this geode slice.  The combination of my copper Raku and the geode, make a statement of the beauty of the  earth  and inspired this newly discovered flower.

                                                                     Raku Conch Shell

They are made and ready for you!  If  you love walks along the beach and the beauty of natures designs, then these are for you.  Each shell is hand thrown, cut and sculpted into this form, inspired from a natural shell.  The raku process creates all of the rich colors of copper when each shell is fired.

Spring Schedule 2

                                                                     Puzzled?
 Puzzled is now on exhibit at the Cameron Art Gallery in Wilmington, NC thru Sept.  State of the Art, Art of the State.  I am proud to be part of this exhibit.  Puzzled symbolizes order and connection.

New year, new raku

 

This Raku piece is carved, burnished, smoked black, copper glaze accents with natural copper on lid.  I love to create different combinations of the copper and black in the raku process. Adding the natural copper on top completes the look.
