MOTHER EARTH Mother Earth is fresh out of the Raku firing. She represents the beauty of this earth and all that we are thankful for this time of year. She hold a piece of natural copper, symbolizing the copper in her gown, as a bird sits on her shoulder. Raku combines the earth, wind and fire and captures that moment in time. Crystal Tower My new Raku work can be see in the following gallerys: Southwinds Gallery, Kernersville, NC, Red Dog Gallery, Winston-Salem, NC and The O'Brien Gallery , Greensboro, NC. Other exciting showings are: ArtStock on Display at The Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro. The opening reception for this exhibit is August 22. The second exhibit is sponcered by the Hirsch Wellness Network at Revolution Mill Gallery, Greensboro, NC. It is a fund raiser for cancer patients. 2025 Raku

This year i am focusing on new raku ideas and new gallery exhibits. Please visit The Red Dog Gallery, 620 N Liberty St, Winston Salem, NC for my work in their exhibit, "Break the Ice". This is a look forwad to spring. Also visit The O'Brien Gallery, Greensboro, NC. They have wonderful contemporary art and several pieces of my horse hair raku. The Southwinds Gallery, Kernersville, NC, has several of my raku pieces. This is the perfect time of year to explore creativity and new ideas in clay.

Since i have retired from traveling to Art and Craft Festivals, i have looked for other opportunites to show my work. I still love to explore new ideas in my clay. Here are upcoming events. Mother Earth reminds us to cherish the earth we live on and take good care of this land. This year i have been working on new ideas for my raku and teaching some classes. i will be posting new work and sharing new pieces of my Raku and horse hair Raku.
