Sunshine Artist Magazine

I have been working hard this summer to have some new ideas ready for the raku firing.  My raku will be featured on the cover of Sunshine Artist Magazine in the October 2014 issue.  There will be a feature article inside of this issue on my work.  I am so proud and honored for this opportunity. 

Summer Schedule

Raku Blooms is a new piece that was hand carved with blooms and is sitting on a lily pad.  I love flowers and am always inspired this time of year.  I have opened areas so that a candle may be placed within. When lighted, the light will shine thru.  Let me know what you think!

I am going to participate in a Pop Up Gallery on South Elm Street in Greensboro, NC over the 4th of July.  It will be located across from the Mellow Mushroom.   Connie Logan and I will set up a gallery. Connie is an oil painter and I will have a great selection of Raku.  Hope that you stop by.

May and June Schedule, 2014

2014 has started out very cold so what could warm your thoughts more than a trip to shore.  Think of the warm sunshine on your shoulders and the waves breaking on the sand.  All of the sudden your eye catches the copper conch shell that has washed up.  These were my thoughts when I created this hand thrown raku conch shell.  Think warm thoughts!  Come see this and other new raku pieces at any of the following festivals.
