 Puzzled is now on exhibit at the Cameron Art Gallery in Wilmington, NC thru Sept.  State of the Art, Art of the State.  I am proud to be part of this exhibit.  Puzzled symbolizes order and connection.

New year, new raku

 

This Raku piece is carved, burnished, smoked black, copper glaze accents with natural copper on lid.  I love to create different combinations of the copper and black in the raku process. Adding the natural copper on top completes the look.

July and August Art Festivals 2021

 I am Back!!  So glad to be working again on the things I love to do.  Earth, Wind and Fire create the most beautiful clay raku pieces.  Hope you will come to Blowing Rock and see my new creations.  For the last year, since Art Festivals have been on hold, I have participated in several Gallery Shows.  This has given me the opportunity to be creative and try new ideas.

This is my newest Raku piece and it is one of thee pieces in an exhibit at the North Carolina Pottery Museum in Seagrove, NC. They have invited a select group of NC Raku  artist to an exhibit on Raku. It is a great collection of works. The exhibit will run thru early June.

I also have new work in several galleries which include: Round About Way, Reidsville, NC, South Winds Gallery, Kernersville, NC and Pottery of the Sandhills, Aberdeen, NC.

New work in Gallery

Mother Earth

While staying at home, I have been working in the yard, cleaning, pruning and planting flowers.  Spending time in nature has inspired my latest raku, Mother Earth.  The beauty of nature with the birds, bees and green, green plants brings calm to a troubled sole.  It reminds us of what is important and maybe what is not.
